Oxygine - Great Engine For Making Games

This library was very easy to use for what I needed it for - a fairly simple game with lots of characters and background art assets. It's well-documented, which makes it ideal for other developers to use. It runs on all browsers (including mobile). There's not much, but some minor things about the documentation could be improved (e.g., it could have tutorials for using it with React Native or other cross-platform JavaScript frameworks). If you're looking to build a basic game without having to set up your own pipeline, this may be just the ticket for you! We were able to get a basic prototype out quickly with little effort. The developer support was also great, which helped us move quickly. The fact we have a powerful low-level rendering system which is very fast to draw thousands of polygons. We started with oxygine engine in our game and it was great! The only thing I dislike is if you want to change something in the rendering subsystem you must always contact the developer because they are really busy and hard to get help from them. I recommend this library to use. We solved problems related to making games for mobile devices (Android) and desktop/browser games.

Pros
  • Easy integration into HTML5 projects via WebGL.
  • Speed performance due its C++ codebase vs Java libraries like LibGDX that run natively through JVM at runtime speed while running native binaries as bytecode instead; even though both engines do perform similar actions such loading resources etc when working together under Android environment where GWT doesn't offer any benefits over java languages used there since
Cons
  • Some cons
