I was looking for a clock that struck the hour and was glad to get this clock. After the reception I tried to install a beep that confirms the installation with a return signal. As stated in the instructions, it was difficult to set a call for a specific hour as the battery kept dying so I had to start over. When I pressed the button to set it to a specific hour ring, it failed to set the hour I was looking for. It stayed set for another hour so I'm not sure if the instruction was wrong or because the battery is being disconnected. It doesn't track how many times I press the button correctly. In addition, the volume is quite loud. I knew beforehand that there was no mention of a volume control, but I wasn't expecting it to be that loud. The side of the clock looks ok. Very good. The pendulum swings well.
