Love this swivel hook and it looks lovely but lacks instructions, no extra hardware like Molly or extra hardware in case you screw up (which I did). You have to get it right the first time! Therefore, according to some comments, it is necessary to pre-drill a smaller hole than the plastic anchor provided. 2 sizes of Phillips screwdrivers are required for this installation. Once the hole is drilled, insert the plastic expansion anchor by hand. Use a LARGE Phillips head to screw the anchor all the way in UNTIL IT FLOWS WITH THE CEILING. I used a small head and eventually removed it. Luckily I keep hardware from other kits and I had five anchors that almost fused! 2nd attempt was successful. Now hand-tighten the metal screw into the plastic anchor so it doesn't fall out, and then use the small Phillips head to ensure it is fully screwed in flush with the anchor. The last step is to open the base of the hook and insert a metal screw into the slot and then close the hook. There is no way to tighten the hook after installation and it fits a little looser than I prefer but I can live with that. I also restarted the entire setup as I didn't like the spot I originally chose. So keep that in mind before you start drilling and save yourself some glitter work at the very end! I hope these review/installation tips are helpful.
