Works great and BONUS - it gives me an HDMI input for my laptop.
I wanted to connect a FireTV Stick to my laptop and it worked great. Google and install the free OBS software FILE -> Setup -> AudioChange the mic/aux input to digital audio input THEN - bottom left SCENE - Use + to add a name (FireTV in my case) SOURCES - Use + to use the video capture device. DEVICE -> USB Video.
