These are the best types of connections if you have a SHURflow pump. Mine holds up to 70psi, no leaks, finger tight, plus a flat on the nut. Genuine SHURflo fittings provide an easy seal with SHURflo pumps because, instead of the thread seal, they have an internal flare or "bulgeโ that seals against a recess on the pump body itself. This provides a good seal even if the alignment isn't perfect, without having to turn very hard, which is good since my pump body is plastic.
