Review on 🦊 CiyvoLyeen Woodland Creatures Educational Guide for Beginners by Johnny Price

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for toddlers

My 7 year old loves to sew and we have tried four different sewing kits so far. It's too easy for her, but it's okay for my 5 year old (as long as he doesn't compare himself to his sister). The set of small Klutz products was too complex/difficult for both of them. The 'Seasons' set was spot on but the quality was a little substandard - some of the holes weren't punched through making it difficult even for a seven year old. The felt of this kit is VERY hard. , making it slightly easier to manipulate with less coordinated hands. All holes were fully punched and very large and even. This is a nice improvement over the cardboard lace sets that kids typically start out with in preschool/kindergarten. Gluing on the accessories was a bit tricky and required adult intervention. The glue is very sticky and therefore tends to stick to both the backing paper and the felt, so you'll need to pull it off very gently (sharp nails will help) so that it sticks to the felt and not the paper. Also, some of the accessories are really tiny and I think even a 10 year old can take a bit of effort to peel them off and put them on correctly. I saw a review that said it ended up requiring hot glue to hold everything in place and ours shows up quite a bit already so I can see this is likely to be an issue. Definitely - lots of consumables, good quality main felt pieces if you're looking for a very basic kit.
