Extrusion issue not resolved but quality improved

I originally got this for my Ender 3 because I was having intermittent extrusion issues, the filament was slipping over the gear and not having enough tension. I was able to temporarily fix it by squeezing the swingarm. I did some research and decided to use this all metal extruder. It didn't solve my extrusion/pull problem, but it's a quality upgrade that I'll keep and recommend to others as well. Pros: * The build quality is fantastic. No rough edges, no scratches and no premium product feel.* The swing arm is sleeved compared to the standard plastic arm which is only attached with one screw. The sleeve allows it to move more freely.* Eventually you will need to replace the plastic sleeve as the plastic wears out. Catch it while it's on sale and never worry about assembling your extruder again. *I have not had the partial mirroring issue reported by some buyers. I believe they solved this problem, like mine, with the right configuration. Cons: * It didn't fix my extrusion/gliding issue. As you can see in my picture I ended up printing a little padding to add more tension and after 30+ hours of printing it worked fantastic. If you're buying this to fix an extrusion/slippage issue, print a shim first. You can find it on Thingiverse, it takes 4 minutes to print at 100% coverage and all you have to do is hold the spin lever for those 4 minutes while it prints. While I still recommend switching to an all-metal extruder, if you need a print out quickly or are short on cash, a spacer is great for you. It still glides a bit like the OEM Ender 3. I would suggest looking at the one with the metal teeth. * Product advertised screw with adjustable spring tension; it is not true. While the screws are technically adjustable, they merely hold the spring in place. They don't cause any additional stress. Overall it's a nice upgrade from the OEM plastic extruder, it just lacks some of the features I originally bought it for.
