Temperature and humidity cannot be recalibrated.
Purchased to test preheating before welding in an industrial setting. I bought this with a certificate so we don't have to check it right away. Our quality program requires annual calibration. A year has passed and it has proved insufficient and unadaptable. This may be an isolated case with this product, but our contractor has not had any issues with other brands. Unfortunately, I bought a second one a little over a month ago. I don't trust the certificate anymore, so it's better to check the second one. I do not recommend purchasing this product.
- SCAN FUNCTION Tracks MIN, MAX, and AVERAGE readings during a scan to improve accuracy. Press and hold to scan the surface area and find the average, maximum, or minimum temperature for the entire area, not just individual readings. This allows you to see changes in surface temperature. The averaging function can also be used to get more reliable and accurate readings. To keep track of more than one reading, you can store up to 20 readings in memory using the MANUAL LOG feature.
