Description of 🌡️ EnnoLogic Thermometer Certificate Temperature Gun

NOT for BODY TEMPERATURE! This thermometer does NOT estimate body temperature from skin temp readings. Its accuracy of ± 3.5°F does not make it accurate enough to determine if a person has a fever by scanning their forehead. It was designed for a much wider temperature range. This is an industrial thermometer that performs beautifully and accurately for what it was intended for: food safety inspections, HVAC, BBQ, cooking, or home inspection and home improvement projects. NOT for medical use. DUAL LASER POINTER FOR PRECISE TARGETING of test area. ADJUSTABLE EMISSIVITY improves the measurement accuracy across different surface types. By setting the emissivity of your IR thermometer to match the material you are measuring, you obtain a more accurate reading. Emissivity is adjustable from 0.10 to 1.00 and a table of emissivity values is included in the manual. AUTO SHUTOFF after 7 seconds. All user settings for laser, backlight, °C/°F, and emissivity are retained between uses. SCAN FEATURE TRACKS MINIMUM, MAXIMUM, AND AVERGAGE READINGS while scanning for increased accuracy. Hold button to scan a surface area and find the average, maximum, or minimum temperature for the whole area instead of only a spot reading. This allows you to see temperature variations on a surface. The averaging feature can also be used to obtain a more reliable and accurate reading. To keep track of more than one reading, a MANUAL LOG feature allows you to store up to 20 readings in memory. HIGH AND LOW TEMPERATURE ALARMS can be set to provide audible feedback when a target temperature is exceeded. Use this handy feature to easily detect when a specific temperature is reached or exceeded, e.g. frying oil. Also includes convenient LOCK FEATURE for continuous hands-free measurements. This allows you to set up the thermometer to continuously monitor an area without pressing the trigger button. The Lock feature is particularly useful when combined with the audible High or Low alarm. VERY WIDE MEASUREMENT RANGE of -50°C to 1050°C (-58°F TO 1922°F). Resolution: 0.1°C/0.1°F. Accurate to ± (1% of reading+1°C/2°F) or ± 2°C/3.5°F, whichever is greater. FAST RESPONSE TIME AND POWER-UP. ACCURATE AND EASY TO READ. Backlight and lasers can be turned on and off independently. CELSIUS AND FAHRENHEIT. Comes with user manual, 9V battery and holster. NIST-Certificate inlcuded. FDA, FCC, and CE compliant. 10-YEAR WARRANTY, HASSLE-FREE REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE, and 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

A very useful and practical tool for

Very useful and practical tool! I use it in blacksmithing when I'm annealing metal, soldering joints, or just want to make sure the melting point isn't too close. By working with different types of silver solder (light, medium, hard, etc.) I can quickly check if I'm approaching the pour point of the solder. I also use it to test hot metal that I may have burned or soldered just to make sure it's safe to handle so I don't burn myself.

Pros
  • DOUBLE LASER POINTER TO AIM ACCURATELY at the test area. ADJUSTABLE RADIATION COUPLING improves measurement accuracy on different types of surfaces. By adjusting the emissivity of your IR thermometer according to the material you are measuring, you will get more accurate readings. The emissivity is adjustable from 0.10 to 1.00 and a table of emissivity values is included in the manual. AUTOMATIC OFF after 7 seconds. All custom laser, backlight, °C/°F and emissivity settings are saved between uses.

What makes this device useless for me

The device does not scan above 1202 F. The HAL high temperature alarm does not allow a setting above 1202 F. That means I've heated everything when I check the temp of the steel Get HI from the device The temp of the steel exceeds 1202 F. That makes this device useless to me. Will be returned. As an aside, although I ordered and received the eT1050D, the maximum temperature is 1202 F, the advertised temperature range of the eT650D. I'm not sure if they made a factory mistake and mislabeled the…

Pros
  • NOT FOR BODY TEMPERATURE! This thermometer does NOT estimate body temperature from skin temperature measurements. Its accuracy of ±3.5°F makes it not accurate enough to determine if a person has a fever by scanning their forehead. It was designed for a much wider temperature range. This is an industrial thermometer that works great and does exactly what it was designed for: food safety checks, HVAC, grilling, food prep or home inspection and DIY projects. NOT for medical use.

  • Ugly packaging

Temperature and humidity cannot be recalibrated.

Purchased to test preheating before welding in an industrial setting. I bought this with a certificate so we don't have to check it right away. Our quality program requires annual calibration. A year has passed and it has proved insufficient and unadaptable. This may be an isolated case with this product, but our contractor has not had any issues with other brands. Unfortunately, I bought a second one a little over a month ago. I don't trust the certificate anymore, so it's better to check the…

Pros
  • SCAN FUNCTION Tracks MIN, MAX, and AVERAGE readings during a scan to improve accuracy. Press and hold to scan the surface area and find the average, maximum, or minimum temperature for the entire area, not just individual readings. This allows you to see changes in surface temperature. The averaging function can also be used to get more reliable and accurate readings. To keep track of more than one reading, you can store up to 20 readings in memory using the MANUAL LOG feature.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
