I like the bowl because it has a handle. I only wish this bowl came with my blender. The good news is that as a home cook I can always use a spare mixing bowl that fits Kitchen Aid. The original is too bulky without a handle, but good for pre-preparation. The new mixing bowl makes it easier to pour batter into baking tins. A bit pricey but the extra amenities are worth it. Whether you're looking for a gift for a home cook or a new housewife, this will be a welcome addition. Just make sure they have kitchen help. As far as I know, the bowl fits all Kitchen Aid models.
