I bought this pen for my 8 year old son to do school projects and to keep his sticky fingers from snagging me touch food. Notebook. He likes to show off this laptop to others like it's his Mac. This notebook is easy to use - just enter your Gmail ID and you're done. The flip book option is at its best when it works without you having to type. Just tap and select them. It has a webcam and microphone to communicate with Google. We don't use it. All the work it does is always in a Google Doc, so it doesn't skip Microsoft Office. It might be a few more years before he goes to high school. Also, it is very easy for a child to carry around. The only downside is that it's useless if you don't have wifi. Only works over WiFi and Gmail mail.
