This is a nice little lightweight notebook.

I bought this pen for my 8 year old son to do school projects and to keep his sticky fingers from snagging me touch food. Notebook. He likes to show off this laptop to others like it's his Mac. This notebook is easy to use - just enter your Gmail ID and you're done. The flip book option is at its best when it works without you having to type. Just tap and select them. It has a webcam and microphone to communicate with Google. We don't use it. All the work it does is always in a Google Doc, so…

Pros
  • Pen for creative people - paint pictures, show off your calligraphy or just draw
Cons
  • ill thought out

Really cool but stuck in tablet mode

Amazing display, amazing touch screen, great shape and product. But it gets stuck in table view and this is a Chrome Book design issue. They use magnets to determine where the keyboard is and it gets stuck in tablet mode. If you search Google for the problem, many people reported this problem.

Pros
  • Google Play Store: Millions of Android apps you know and love on your phone and tablet can now run on your Chrome device without sacrificing their speed, simplicity or security
Cons
  • I don't remember

Love it! Legacy Notebooks

I had to get a small laptop after realizing that excessive emailing to the same person on an iPad just wasn't good enough. The great thing about a Chromebook is that all your Google favorites come up automatically, so you don't have to reinvent the wheel. I am very satisfied with the Chromebook and can only recommend it.

Pros
  • Slim and portable (without box): 10.71"(W) x 8.50"(D) x 0.68"(H); 2.98 lbs
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Warning - inferior hardware

Bought for a kindergarten child's virtual school year. They love it and could easily use it after getting their bearings from it. I installed the PBS Kids video and game apps on it for use outside of class. The Chromebook operating system is simple and fast. I can control installs and usage through Google's Family Link app. However! After 2 months the top row of buttons stopped working unless I physically bent/flexed the device and would stop working again soon after. I did some basic bug…

Pros
  • Memory: 4 GB LPDDR4-2400 SDRAM (non-renewable)
Cons
  • New competitors emerged

Extremely disappointed

I've been using this Chromebook for 2 months now and I regret buying it. Here are some pros and cons. Please note that some issues may be related to the operating system and hardware. Pros: size/weight; solidly built, 2 in 1 solid; the camera takes great pictures (if it works, see below); Battery life is outstanding. The integration with Office 365 and Google Drive is excellent. Cons: - The main problem is that it died and wouldn't turn back on. I've searched the web and support materials with…

Pros
  • Battery life: up to 13 hours 15 minutes (mixed use)
Cons
  • Out of fashion

My 17 year old daughter loves it though.

As I said, my 17 year old daughter loves it. Your school uses a Chromebook, but not a 12-inch model. But therein lies the catch. We cannot find a screen protector for the 12 inch model. I also gave her an active pen which she uses and loves. I warned her to be careful with the stylus to avoid scratching the screen. It's relatively fast - works well on the web, that's all.

Pros
  • Processor: Intel(r) Celeron(r) N4000, dual core, 1.1 GHz base frequency, up to 2.6 GHz peak frequency
Cons
