Review on πŸš— YUGUANG 4" Car HUD Display with OBD2 GPS Dual System - RPM, OverSpeed Warning, Turbine Pressure & More by Marcus Munoz

It works fine, there are glitches

I liked Yuguang HUD. It was easy to install, fairly easy to set up the displays if you don't mind fiddling with it a bit - the instructions are poor - and provided most of the information I wanted: voltage, oil and water temp. I also wanted the oil pressure but the OBD2 system in my 2021 Toyota RAV4 does not provide this data. Maybe other cars have it, but I don't know of any. However, I returned the Yuguang HUG for three reasons: First, the adhesive patch that came with it didn't stick to my RAV's plastic dashboard, so I had to mount the unit on the windshield. It stayed there like glue for over a week, and then one day it just fell off. I don't want to do this every week. The next HUD I get will have a suction cup mount for the windshield - I know that will fall off too, but it's easy to put back on. Secondly, despite the fact that the display is under a built-in shutter, it could not be seen on sunny and even bright days. (Worked well on cloudy days and at night.) However, the numbers are a bit small on most screens. The basic grid screen was fine, but had too many readings for things I didn't need and I couldn't find a way to reduce them. Finally, the distance traveled was always 90% less: for example, if I drove 35 miles, then it read 3.5.d. This wasn't too bad as my car displays the same information on the dashboard but added to other deficiencies. Yuguang, that was the straw that made me send the camel back. That's a shame as it's basically a good device and has some cool displays if your eyesight is sharp enough to read the accompanying numeric readings. It might work better on your computer.

Pros
  • So far I'm satisfied
Cons
  • Clarity
