GOOD1. Worked better than one of those flat rectangular antennas. (The rectangular Channel Master is still pretty good.). Various review sites like Wired are correct that this antenna is good.2. The cable comes with easy-swivel handles for attachment. Just use your fingers. Much better than the old type that requires perfectly sized open-end wrenches.3. The cable is separate and not built-in, meaning less wear and tear and the ability to use a different cable if you wish.4. Elegant round design.THE BAD5. Its behavior changes over time and with the weather, which applies to all these OTA antennas. Just keep in mind that you can't always get perfect, stable reception like you can with cable!6. Also, the nearby station somehow changed the signal and it became impossible to get a decent signal through our Roamio (TiVo). This station, or rather three, since it affected all substations, ended up with a static picture and intermittent sounds. It was unbearable to watch.ββ> We started looking for new antennas. However, we found a solution that I give at the end!7. The stickiness disappears. I cleaned it which made it somewhat grippy again, but the large "heavy" section of the cable connector ripped it off the wall. We had to get small sticks to support it. It's ok, but a set of it should be provided.8. WARNING: This is reversible, but you must decide which side you want to show at the beginning! You can't change your mind later because the glue bar only works ONCE! They really should include two sticky pads so you can turn them over later if you put them somewhere else, for example. The cable is very long, which is handy if you need to stretch the antenna far, but it's inconvenient if you're placing the antenna next to the TV - there's a lot of cable dangling behind the TV. OTOH, being able to place it further away might take it out of your line of sight! See next 10. Our family room is wood paneled so neither black nor white would suit. We went with black, but it looks odd that there's a long black cable winding behind the TV and ending in what looks like a circular clock face. At first it will catch your attention a few times, but then you will learn to ignore it. POOR RECEPTION FIX TIP Well, after a few days of trying in all sorts of places, different cables, etc., we've come across the answer to the Antenna Direct question. a website that mentioned using an *attenuator* to work with nearby strong stations. Your signal may be TOO STRONG for the TV or TiVo and needs to be attenuated or muted! This is another reason why booster antennas often fail or degrade reception! So we tried that. Simply screw an attenuator (a cylindrical object a few centimeters long) into the antenna jack on your TV or TiVo, and then connect the antenna cable to it. (We still have a few attenuators from our old home MOCA system, so we went with the one with the blue markings.) They're only $6 to $10, so definitely worth it. Guess what?! IT WORKS LIKE A MAGIC! The annoying stations that we had unsolvable problems with are fantastically gone. We went from weak reception hovering around 50 on our Roamio TiVo with choppy picture and annoying choppy audio to STABLE reception, clear audio and a STRONG signal of 72! Wonderful! That's all! Good, bad and ugly.ββ>. BUY A SILENCER FOR THE NEXT STRONG STATIONS!
