My 2008 Tacoma only had one fan running at maximum power so I went to YouTube to find some answers. Lots of videos on how to change resistance, which is quite difficult to achieve but very doable. The new resistor came quickly and it was relatively easy to remove the old one and put the new one back in, it just takes a little dexterity. .Convinced this would work I started the truck only to find it blows heavily on all settings. Damn I must have gotten a bad one as mentioned in other reviews. So I went through the return process which turned out to be very easy. Throw it back in the box and simply take it to our local UPS store and show the QR code provided. Did. A replacement was sent and I received it within a day. Came back under the dash with the new one to find it did the same thing and blew hard on all settings. But luckily they also provided a new suspension which was definitely a solution. And it was. Don't be afraid of wires. It is also very easy to replace. Cut out the old one, remove the wires and use the included connectors to reconnect it. You can use an old wire harness to match the color coded wires. Very easy. And now we have air conditioning at all speeds for a fraction of what a dealer would charge.
