I read a lot of reviews about people being confused about the combination lock. I'm not sure what the problem is. It's very simple, just follow the instructions. I bought this for my friend's b-day. It's sturdy and makes a nice gift. My only criticism is the interior of the box which is rather small so you can only put some pieces of jewelry and a few tiny keepsakes in there. I received it and the lock mechanism was broke. I clicked on return and it was so easy. I received my replacement 2 days later. It is great and would be great for gifts. One "Con” is that the locking mechanism protrudes into the safe itself so the height clearance is less and my small jewelry box didn’t fit and it is 1 1/2” tall. I just put everything in zip lock baggies so it works for me. On a shelf no one can tell it’s not a real book. I recommend and will buy more for gifts.

I bought this to blend in with my books in hopes that curious children will overlook. So far so good. But that’s really the only protection it offers. I don’t keep valuable items inside. Obviously a thief could just walk away with it. It wouldn’t take much to break it open. Unless you have a personal library with plenty of space for the safe to blend in or use as a Center piece with other books, pass. As far as gifting it, I don’t think I could do that to someone I don’t like,

I purchased two, one for my grandson (Route 66) and the other for my granddaughter (Paris). My grandson like it very much. He set it up with no issues and is happy to keep his valuable. On the other hand, my granddaughter had issues with it. It does not lock. I sent an email but I have not received a replied or replacement. I am hoping you can help. I will be happy to return it for an even exchange if possible. She is sad.

The instructions were easy to follow. Set up the passcode. Used it for storing papers. The third time I tried to access the papers inside, it refused to unlock. Tried numerous times and it still will not unlock.

It looks and feel like a real book. It has real pages that you can turn. It’s basically a real book that has been cut out to have a small safe placed in the middle.

Bought 3 of these for my nephews and they loved them. They placed them on the bookshelf and were tickled they looked like regular books. I’ve been updated that they have been locking up their allowances in these little safes. Glad they are using then for their intended purposes.

Very easy to use and took only a few moments to set the combination, get it filled, and tucked away. It gives me piece of mind for things I want easy access to but do not want my children to be able to get into.

It seems to me an excellent article of great utility and security; however, in my personal experience, having bought this item with those features, I have not wanted to spoil it and I have to force it to open it, because the combination password was changed in a failed attempt to change it. Since then, I have been unable to enter the exact password. Do you have any safe method of opening it without damaging it?

Obviously not a real book if you look at it from the page view or touch it. Perhaps a cardboard cover over the metal would help with the feel. Easy to set your pass code and a decent size. It'll do which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Unfortunately someone who saw this item realized there might be something of value in there and when I was not around it was easily pried open and item taken. Luckily, not high value item, but I was dismayed at how easy it was for someone to get around the lock by just prying sides open. Live and learn.

This is the second one I have purchased, the first one looked like a dictionary. They seem to be well-made and not as cheap looking at some of the others have come across. Hopefully this one will hold up longer than the others, the issue there was the locking mechanism stopped working after a while.

This thing is absolutely amazing and adorable. Bought this for my part time boss and she absolutely loved it. The coloring and design on it is cute.
