Review on 🔲 Ozeri Touch Waterproof Digital Kitchen Scale - Small, Black: Washable & Submersible for Easy Cleaning by Carmen Adams

My purchase of this scale is related to the story. I've bought dozens of mini chocolate chip cakes in bulk because I love the flavor and the nutrients suit my diet. However, when my last shipment arrived, the nutritional values changed: instead of cakes (e.g. serving = 1 cake), they were measured in ounces (e.g. serving = 1 oz). I've tried contacting the bakery multiple times to ask how many ounces each cake is, but they haven't responded. In the end I decided to take matters into my own hands and get this scale. So did it work? The scale arrived quickly with Revain Prime shipping. The kit includes a scale (with batteries), an instruction manual and a mini flathead screwdriver. Why a screwdriver? The battery cover is attached to the device with screws. The idea is that you can use the mini flathead screwdriver that came with the device to pop open this cover and work with the device effortlessly. Problem: The screws on the cover require a Phillips head, not a flat head (see photo). I had to rummage through my tool kit and get a mini Phillips screwdriver for the battery cover. In that case, they may not include a screwdriver either. After removing the battery cover there were three batteries in the box and I just had to pull the tab to get it working. I had some trouble putting the lid back on, but I was able to do it with a little effort. Good news: my battle with the battery cover was the most difficult encounter with this device. After this was fixed, I set the weight to be tested. Watch the video attached to this review to see how it went (spoiler alert: it worked). When I pressed the tare it reset to zero as expected. As I switched units, they moved seamlessly between grams, fluid ounces, and pounds per ounce. The power button doesn't turn it off, but there's an auto shutoff to save battery power. And best of all, I finally figured out the weight of the mini chocolate cake! Overall I am satisfied with this kitchen scale. Although I had some difficulties with the battery cover, everything worked fine after I solved this problem. It was easy to use and the numbers were easy to read and the weight seems accurate. I plan to use this scale for weighing in the kitchen in the future and maybe for packing too.
