So there have been a lot of conflicting opinions on this item but I would like to add my 2 cents and also some pictures for clarification. This happened on the 2019 Polaris Sportsman 570. A lot of people said it stuck out too much and if you look at the pictures I posted you can see that it is fully working and no problem at all. I can use this thing through its full range of motion with ease and I'm a 5ft 8in female so you can see how my arm fits with some perspective. I've also seen people say they need to shorten the crank, many models probably do, but on my quad it was fine, no gap issues. The initial setup was the key part because you can't just glue it there. I tried different spots and angles before tightening it. Use common sense and logic in general, and you've got an inexpensive, high-quality supplement to save your thumb!
