awning. I have a Fiamma awning with support arms that fold out as the awning extends and with this type of awning you can't leave the top of that extension in place when you retract the awning. The awning doesn't roll onto the tube like some tents do and therefore the part of it that is supposed to roll with the awning doesn't work. If you roll up the awning all the way, this part will get stuck outside the awning. But I kept it anyway because it meets the needs and is well designed. I just remove the entire extension each time, leaving nothing in place. Not as comfortable as we'd like, but still better than nothing. You just slide the part into a slot that even Fiamma has, then pull it out when you're done. It might not last forever, but it's useful enough to justify the risk. I even recommend this product to people like me.
