Review on ๐Ÿงน Powerful and Convenient Cleaning with Hoover Cordless Vacuum Cleaner BH50010 by Jonathan Jensen

For the money it gets the job done

It's been 3 months since I bought the Hoover Linx BH50010 and so far so good. You should know that this item requires no maintenance. I remember seeing a number of reviews about how the device worked for a while before it stopped working. I made sure it's true, it happened to me. After a little research I found the answer. If you first remove the dust cap from the device, you will notice a sticker that says "Service Manual". You will be instructed to inspect holes A and B. A is the small hole above the sticker in the vacuum cleaner body. Dirt passes the brushes through hole A on the way to the swamp. I found that the sidewalk was completely filled with dog hair and the like that got tangled in a piece of paper wrapper that got stuck in the sidewalk and delayed things passing by. As long as there is a blockage on the way, the vacuum cannot work. So if your vacuum cleaner stops working, you should first check this opening for clogs. Hole B is the brush assembly. I haven't seen it fully clogged, but I can confirm that the brush rollers and area around them have accumulated dog hair, thread, and other materials that stick to the brushes and nearby points. This material must therefore be regularly pulled out of the brushes. Now you need to check the red baffle tube, which is located in the body of the sump. You can unscrew the baffle by opening the outlet door on the mud flap and rotating the bottom of the baffle to remove it. The dust cap has a clear hole through which you can see the plastic stop that holds the baffle in place. Pull out the baffle and remove any strands of hair, dog fur or thread that may be caught in the baffle and reinstall the baffle by looking through the opening in the mudflap at the stops. From time to time, dust and dirt that has accumulated on the foam at the top of the mudguard needs to be cleaned. So if you follow your maintenance checklist, it will likely do the work for you. Battery life is significantly better than the Eureka vacuums it replaces. We'll see how long it lasts after months, but in the meantime it's giving it a thumbs up for picking things up off my mostly tiled floor with a little rug. I can usually do 2 full vacuums before charging - I think it takes 15-20 minutes with the brushes running all the time. Problem: You need to make sure the dustbin's latch is fully and securely open, otherwise when you lower the vacuum to get under a chair, the latch will wobble and the dirt bin will fall to the floor. If it's securely fastened, this won't happen. I also wish the brushroll could detach easily as it is painful to pull hair and such out of the rollers. In other places the fabric will curl up at the ends and sometimes you have to struggle to get the fabric off the roll. This is one of the reasons I can't give a 5 here. It's an improvement over my Eureka Quick Up, particularly in terms of battery quality and durability. Damn better brooms. Update from 04/13/2018: Purchased on 08/30/2016. It has been 20 months since my purchase and the whisk no longer works. The brush works when the vacuum is fully upright or fully lowered to the floor, but not at the normal cleaning angle used when using the vacuum. It is strange. This is 8 months longer than the one-year warranty period. Can I bite the bullet and replace it? Not sure yet.
