Perfectly protects carbon bike frames from scratches. It's not a big deal on road bikes, but riding off-road can severely scratch your bike. Also ideal as abrasion protection for switching/hydraulic lines. And also great for covering your cranks to protect them from shoe abrasion. I usually take 2 different widths, 4" and 2". 4 inch for down tube and top tube. 2" for chainstays and seatstays. It's a little tricky to install without trapping air like installing smartphone screen protectors, but trickier since it has a large surface area and odd shapes. Patience and some sharp pliers to help here and making a few odd cuts there will help.A needle can also help to gently prick and deflate, but you must be extra careful not to damage the bike or injure yourself.
