Don't waste money.

I was looking for naturally biodegradable cat litter when I came across this one. I was so excited about that. Hemp fibers are good for almost everything. EXCEPT THE CAT POOD. >:[I know it's marketed as 'lightweight' but it weighs literally NOTHING, which might be ok for some, but our kitty likes to use a standard storage bag as a tray. [so he has to jump in] The classic litter makes the box heavier, so it was never a problem, but every time my cat jumped into his hemp litter box, it was too light, so it ended up tipping over and getting dusty. Hemp fiber goes everywhere. That alone scared him to the point that he didn't even get near him after knocking him over three times. We tried very hard to make it work. I even collected some rocks to make the crate heavier. I ended up having to buy a box of classic filler to use hemp filler. it doesn't stick at all. You end up filling your entire shovel with a pile of wet and dry fibers and when you try to sift out the dry fibers they all fall out and then it's IMPOSSIBLE to collect any of the wet fibers. The only good thing is that it really doesn't stick to your feet very much. Also, it was a waste of money for me. I'm glad I at least tried. I sincerely believe this filler will only work if: you have a standard tray, no lid or anything, just an open tray. You also need to be prepared to throw out the entire litter box each day. Tag as it doesn't stick together so you can keep it clean. You also have to be willing to spend $100 a month on cat litter because it's very wasteful. the cheapest, fastest growing and most environmentally friendly natural materials you can use. Super easy.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine
