My daughter likes to wear these shorts a lot. She is 5'9 and weighs 110 lbs. She sized up to medium but usually wears a size small. They fit her pretty well besides being a bit loose so she wore a belt with them. After a few washes she didn't have to wear a belt anymore but they still looked very casual and loose which is what she wanted. They are also a nice length. Not too long, not too short, and can wear them pretty much anywhere.
