Review on πŸ• Casio Men's G-Shock GD350 Sport Watch: Unmatched Durability and Performance by Ericka Montoya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Remarkable in many ways.

I bought this watch three years ago. I'm a bit of an amateur watch collector, but I usually prefer analogue mechanical watches (I have two digital ones). To say I love this watch is an understatement. This watch seems to have been designed with a timer function in mind. Unlike other G-Shocks, the watch can display the time remaining and the current time on the same screen. The timer can be set to the second (again unlike other G-Shocks). In addition, the timer function can be activated by pressing a button on the main screen instead of switching between modes. This makes getting started quick and easy. I am a student and I use this watch for my studies. I follow the Pomodoro method and the GD-350 is perfect for timing in 20/5 minute intervals. As an added bonus, the watch has a vibration setting (to the best of my knowledge, it's unique to this model). This means that my regular schedule doesn't interfere with other students' learning. Vibration isn't enough to wake you up at 6am, but if you're just looking for something to divert your attention from the screen, it's perfect. Not only do I use it as a learning tool, I have made it my own. countless trips into the woods, underwater and some pretty legendary waterfalls abroad. He survived a fall while descending a slippery waterfall in Belize (rocks broke the arm he was sitting on, but ironically the watch was still working), a fall off a motorcycle in Thailand, and countless bumps and bruises while rock climbing in Turkey. I mentioned all countries because this watch also has a world clock function. You can see the time in any of the 50 cities without actually turning the clock back. Without exaggeration, this watch is stronger than me. That's a big clock. I have medium wrists and medium forearms. It's definitely the biggest watch I've ever had, but I think it wears well. It's just big enough to remind you it's a tool on your wrist. Think about it like this. Some positive aspects compared to other potential G-Shock models: The vibration function is fantastic. That alone might justify buying a watch over other G-Shocks if you think you'll be using them frequently. The advanced timer setting is incredibly useful. Some cons compared to other potential G-Shock models: Vibration function (e.g. 90% thicker than the thinnest G-Shocks, especially the GW-5600). The buttons feel less tactile and responsive than other models. The backlight can be a bit too bright compared to other models (that can be a plus). You) It doesn't have the features like a thermometer or compass that you'll find on slightly more expensive models. Know what you're getting before you buy. If you like the feature set and don't mind a big watch, buy the GD-350 now. I would rather part with my Omega than lose this watch. The photos below are not mine, they are from the Watchuseeek forum. entitled "GD-350-Surprisingly Good!" posted by "aadhtbb". They helped me a lot with sizing the watch. They are compared to the GW-5600. (This person's wrists appear to be smaller, the watch doesn't look as chunky on mine)

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
