I bought these to replace some of our old canisters that we use to make pressure rockets with alkaline seltzer and water - I teach science and have been doing this lab for 20 years. We ended up using old cans this year because the lids were incredibly difficult to remove - I had to use a wrench to remove them after each use. Because the lid is so tight, many rockets didn't have enough pressure to even launch. I really need to find old ones. If you need them to store items in a tight container, that's fine. Lids require a larger diameter lip to allow hand pulling.
