I bought this elbow to use as a protector between the sidewalk and the edges of my grass when I'm pressure washing my driveway. I have to say it worked great because without it you can have a problem with water pressure so strong that it cuts into the ground and cuts the grass at the edge of the sidewalk. Of course, that makes the work a mess. Placing the corner on the ground with the convex side up - between the pavement and the grass - will prevent the water pressure from cutting a groove between the pavement and the grass. Aside from needing to be moved frequently since it's only 3ft long, this is the best way I know of for clearing the sidewalk edge without ruining the lawn edge.
