I'll add to the review, I slept on it with a fiber bed on top Not bad, I don't know if I tried without How will it be? I'd say it's maybe a 7. Others might find it softer! It's better than the last pair I had! For the price it's ok! Couch? If you are a very petite person this may be fine. It's not bad, I can't imagine it lasting for years, but for now it's doable! It should be 9 inches. I just blew mine no more than 8". MANUFACTURERS ARE REQUIRED TO PUT THE RATING IN THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THEIR MATTRESS, some do, most don't!
