The game comes with instructions. The brochure describes the recommended games. However, there are many other uses. I bought it for my 3 year old daughter. She loves it - it has become her new favorite toy. She really enjoys learning through play, so any toy that stimulates her brain is a fantastic choice at this stage. I didn't have to show her how to use Squeezy Tweezers - she figured it out on her own right away (she's on stage - I can do it myself). I opened the package and gave her some time to play freely, observing her closely before introducing her to the various educational games/activities on offer. She has only used it about 4 times so far. I used it to teach her pattern, counting, number and color recognition, color sorting. This is my first time buying a Learning Resources product and I have to say it's fantastic. I am currently recommending to others and am looking for other Learning Resources products to purchase as Christmas gifts.
