Review on Oxygen Sensor Downstream 2006 2009 Calif ESV by Tyler Cash

UPDATE: Not so good now

later UPDATE: Wait a minute! Maybe it doesn't quite work. The original sensor definitely didn't work, it worked within 3-4 miles. This one worked great aside from the weird random low voltage loop I mentioned in my original review. About 650 miles of my trip, straight on, just a few 15 minute fill ups, code reset, I checked the sensor while driving on level ground and it stayed at 0.251 volts. I accelerated a little and he came back to life. Another 200 miles and again not, but again I refrain from buying cheap sensors. I'll spend some more time on it and update if my opinion changes, but for now it's like any other cheap sensor. In a few weeks I can bite the bullet and buy the OEM. For the price this was an incredible deal. My 80,000 mile Mazda 3 started adjusting P2096 when cruising at freeway speeds but never in town. I followed the signal and it randomly resets to zero as if the sensor was off. I don't like cheap aftermarket oxygen sensors, but at this price point it's worth a try and they're easy to replace. I usually bite the bullet and only buy original sensors. Arrived quickly and on time, unlike most of my recent Prime orders. It was the same length and looked the same except for the color of the connector and the slightly different touchscreen latches. My OE sensors use gray input and black output, this one is gray instead of black. The threads are already provided with anti-seize. I took it 2.10 interstate miles on consecutive days, with a full night cooldown, and it maintained 850+mV most of the time, with some weird slow cycles up to 250mV, but recovered quickly. So far I'm sure, but this weekend I'll do 1000 miles, let's see. The old sensor, the original one, kept setting a code indicating it was faulty.

Pros
  • Fits Mazda 3 2006-2009 l4 2.0L/2.3L --- Not Calif-ESV
Cons
  • I will add
