Better than Foggles for intense IFR training

I really like this IFR training hood. I prefer them over fog goggles for several reasons: 1. I wear goggles and they are much easier to use than fog goggles. 2. This is much better to use during the day, especially when the sun is low in the sky where the fog makes it so bright when you face the sun that you essentially become blind due to the light scattering of the fog. 3. I've also found that I don't have as many options for motion sickness in general with this device compared to fog.4. It also doesn't disrupt the seal of noise-canceling headphones like fog, since you don't put anything on the ears to break the seal. My only real complaint about this is the stripe size. I got it in the largest size for my head and it's still a little tighter than I'd like, but it's not a bad thing. I can wear it for 1-2 hours and it doesn't cause any pain or discomfort. Another thing to note is that it's not as compact as Nebula, so I just slip a head strap around the handles of my flight bag and wear it outside of my return flight. The zips are very secure and the hood is very durable so I had no problems carrying it around. I highly recommend it for IFR training. For the limited 3 hours a private pilot needs, a set of fog lights will probably fit and is a bit more compact/easier to transport.
