The SanDisk ImageMate All-in-One Card Reader features a unique magnetic base that allows you to place the reader vertically on the included tripod. The stand itself has a rubber base to prevent slipping and sliding. While the reader looks cool on a stand, it tends to detach easily. The case is glossy black, which makes it very easy to pick up fingerprints, but it's very thin so you don't have to carry it around. It claims to be able to transfer data at up to 34MB/s with SanDisk cards. I was only able to get 22-23 MB/s with a stopwatch. STILL VERY FAST! Once connected, it will be recognized like any other drive and you can simply drag and drop files to copy. I've been using this reader for about 5 months and haven't had any problems. This is the fastest Ready/Writer I've ever had the privilege of using. A tripod is more for oohs and aahs if you ask me, and I don't really care. The reader/writer is more for my laptop, so I carry the reader in a microfiber case (from my glasses). When introduced in 2009, it should be cheaper than the manufacturer's suggested retail price of thirty dollars. This is a good buy.
