One word: AWESOME. I was skeptical based on some of the reviews I read. But I've decided to just take it and return it if you don't like it. I'm so glad I went with him. It's now the centerpiece of my new kitchen and I love it. However, the cords of each individual lantern are quite long, which can easily be fixed by wrapping them back around the wooden board. My ceilings are 9 feet high but I didn't want them to hang low so I cut the chain and then wrapped the pendant lights around the board once. However, I must warn you that if you get a bulb that is too bright, it is definitely too much light. I have Addison light bulbs, 3 watts each. Anything above that leads to a very bright situation that can be too much. But overall I love this centerpiece
