Overall I am very happy with its durability. It's nice that it's so stable and the extra pads where the surface touches the laptop keep it from sliding and also prevent scratches. You have to remove the laptop and effectively set it up manually with two hands. However, I'd rather side with stability than instability, so I worry about that less than most people. I bought another stand because I can twist and turn the stand's face, which I would really like, but in terms of utility, this is the best I've found.
