This double sided tape is great! It's tacky at first, and I can count on it staying tacky to whatever I stick. And the adhesive layer is a little thicker than applying liquid glue. Some people have mentioned the issue of removing the backing. However, due to the stickiness, removing the backing couldn't be easier. Here's how: 1) Cut the ribbon to the desired length. 2) Glue it on one of the two elements glued together. Be sure to press it firmly. 3) Pry off the corner of the pad with a needle or the tip of a sharp knife. The backing will quickly peel off the adhesive (which sticks to whatever you stuck it to. 4) Peel off the backing. In addition, and this applies to most adhesives, it rarely does any harm to rub a little alcohol on the surfaces to be bonded beforehand.
