I just installed mine and am happy so far. It fits like a glove, feels pretty solid (the plastic is pretty thick) and just like the product description says, it holds my phone in place. As for holding the water bottle, that's not a problem, but I don't know. Haven't tried putting things like Polar Pop in there yet, so I'll update later. In general I am very satisfied. If it had color customization options it would look like an OEM part until you open the center console and then can't see the aftermarket. not installed in the center console. It has a cutout for coin slots as well as a pocket in the center console. To close the center console lid after installation, simply twist the metal rod (looks like a ball) on the center console base. Using pliers, turn the console counterclockwise (left) and adjust accordingly. Keep in mind that your truck is old so the metal shaft might need a little torque like mine. I saw a question here asking if it would fit a 98.5 piston. For reference, my Ram's build date is Jan 1998 so it will fit 98 models even though the description says 99-01. I'll add photos later.
