Great as a power strip, not sure if it did/did its job as a surge protector.
Disclaimer. I purchased this surge protector to protect my electronics and will be compensated if this is not the case. In the absence of a catastrophic event (how would I know if it happened, what is it protected from?) and without having to contact Tripp Lite for a refund, I can only assume that it is doing its job and that they will honor it your engagement. I will update this review if the situation changes. Five stars for the apparent durability of construction and warranty. Two stars minus until it proves it's more than just an extension cord.
