All the tools in this set are very sharp except for the 6 point punch and the basic awl. Both took the blade/point well when I sharpened them and all tools hold the blade well. I thought it was more of a sewing kit but if you have a basic sewing awl these tools are a great addition. Tools are available for grooving in various widths, edge trimming (cleaning?) and edge chamfering, scribing and hole punching. A chisel is perhaps the sharpest tool I've ever had and I love carving in wood. I expected such good tools to cost over $100, but they were a lot less. You are of great value.
