This is at least the third Philips headphone that I last bought few years. I have a high end open back model for quality listening to music, a small model with a wireless earbud for cell phone use, a model with headphones that was destroyed a few years ago and is now the SHP2000. Its main use case is playing quietly on our digital piano, and it looks like it'll get the job done just fine. I chose it based on my familiarity with the brand, the low price, and the 1/4" plug that came with it. The first experiences were very satisfactory. All the noise-cancelling features, the over-ear cups offer a bit of isolation and that helps. They are very light, which is very important for headache-free use. Maybe I'm being unfair at this price point (just under $20), but I'm hesitant to give these headphones 5 stars because of the quality of the material. When you touch them, you can feel that they are made cheaply to reach the target price. In fact if you are looking for the best quality you can look into the Fidelio line or the SHP9500 model. In any case I will be returning it and giving it a full 5 stars if it has had a year of heavy use with minimal damage survives.
