Good lightweight alternative to butyl for sound deadening

I usually use dynamat or butyl, a hard, thick, dirty soundproofing material that I almost always use to mount my car audio system on the doors, on the truck, and sometimes on the underbody. It's a much lighter material and uses foam to absorb sound waves rather than stiffening the panels. I've used it on the door panels of a car I've just replaced some of the speakers in and it really helps with noise isolation and even reduces road noise a bit. The adhesive is good and sticks to any clean metal surface. Also works as a thermal insulator on a firewall or other area where engine heat can enter the car. Overall a good product and ideal for applications where the heaviness of butyl is unacceptable for whatever reason. There are lines on the adhesive backing to help trim it straight and I found it fairly easy to apply. The foam will bend around most corners and won't come off overnight, and once applied it should last forever. The roll is just under 14 feet long and just under 16 inches wide.
