Unreliable (slow charging)

I bought these 2 cable packs and they both failed - The first cable failed within 3 months. It started intermittently while charging my Samsung S8+; sometimes the possibility of "fast" loading was detected, and sometimes I got a message that only "slow" loading is available. I have tried this cable on several chargers with the same result. When I switched to the other cable I had laying around everything worked fine, so I'm pretty sure the problem is with the cable. There was never any rough handling of the cable so I'm not sure why it broke. The second cable failed the same way about 1 year after purchase. No rough handling of cables.
