I have learned to check the width of the gaiters. I have an average sized woman's head, so a width of about 9.5 inches works well for me. This one first just fine, and is a true gaiter without ear loops, making it quite comfortable to wear. It feels cool against my skin, too. It stays up and it's easy to breathe through while it blocks most dust and allergens. I wouldn't trust it to block viruses, however. It's just too thin. I think my biggest disappointment is the color. It's shown and labeled as green, which is what I wanted. Unfortunately, it's much more of a very pale lime green - almost yellow - and that's not a flattering color on me. Still, it's a good gaiter that doesn't push my nose to one side, so four stars, and recommendations to those of you who prefer yellow green!
