I have learned to check the width of the gaiters. I have an average sized woman's head, so a width of about 9.5 inches works well for me. This one first just fine, and is a true gaiter without ear loops, making it quite comfortable to wear. It feels cool against my skin, too. It stays up and it's easy to breathe through while it blocks most dust and allergens. I wouldn't trust it to block viruses, however. It's just too thin. I had forgotten this gaiter is supposed to be green because the one I got is yellow. The fabric is definitely breathable so it's very comfortable to wear. There are no ear holes, but it stays up fine without them. The wrapper it comes in suggests a lot of inventive and appealing uses for the gaiter, but because of the thinness of the fabric I wouldn't feel comfortable using it alone as a mask during the pandemic.

This fits nicely, is comfortable, and is so much easier to breath in than a double layered cotton mask. It's easy to pull on, though it can mess your hair a bit. What I don't like about it is that you can't really see the skull when you're wearing it. There is a larger black strip above the skull, so when you put it on and get it comfy, the skull sits so low on the face that you can't really see what it is. So I had to take a star away for that reason.

This Sumade Unisex Neck Gaiter is a pretty shade of purple (my favorite color). The material is extremely light and breathable. It is good for UV and dust protection, but it is not going to stop much as far as viruses and smells. I think this neck gaiter will best fit those with wider faces. Just as shown in the product images. It's thin and easy to breathe with it on. It's just snug enough to stay put without falling down, but not so tight that it's uncomfortable or anything. Good for outdoors in dusty environments or whatever.

I've tried too many gaiters that were way too tight. This one is comfortable on me. I'm a woman with an average hat size. The ear loops don't pull my ears - in fact, there's room enough for me to say this would work well on a man's face, too. Perfect. I like these scarf style, summer gaiters. When you pull them down, there’s not a lot of fabric heating up your neck. This one is truly unisex. I’m a woman, but it still stays up, and it’s wide enough for most men to wear without having their noses bent. This is very comfortable because of the loops ears. I like this style. The fabric is breathable while still protecting and very cool. My hubby wears this style the most.

This is a great gaiter for "compliance." I got it for my husband to wear at his school so the children can freak out a little when they see him. I love that it's meshy and breathable, this is one of the few masks that won't make your breathy moisties stick to your face. The smile part could be a little higher, but I'd say the placement is ok for one of these masks as I've tried others where the cartoon mouth part is ridiculously too low and ends up just looking really lame. It's thin and light, and when I first put it on the ear loops went over my ears automatically, so I didn't even need to make adjustments to insure that it was being worn properly. It makes it easier to breathe vs. using a surgical mask, but it also makes it easy to suck the mask tightly to your face when breathing in strongly, such as when you're singing and need to inhale quickly. But it's still better than a surgical mask.

This is a lightweight well made bandana. The design looks exactly as pictured and is kind of boho chic. This one does seem a little wide at the top but I am going to add a support frame inside mine so it will be fine. The larger width would be good for someone who has a bigger face or neck or maybe beard. The material is thin and easy to breath through and seems like it will be very easy to wash.

I know this doesn't work well as a effective mask but I thought it would be fun for the month of October. The gaiter is thin and easy to breath in.if you are wearing this I would recommend staying 6 feet away!

This style of mask is my preferred design. The ear loops keep the mask in place, covering what it's supposed to cover. I like the Skeletor style design. The mask doesn't pull tight against my nose or face. Comfortable material.

This gaiter is mostly soft and comfortable but also a little bit scratchy due to wool like characteristics. The density of the fabric is very low, almost like net. You can use this to comply with covid rules but it will not offer a lot of actual protection.
