I have used Moda metallic brushes before and love this line. The brushes are soft, feel good in the hand and keep their shape after washing. The fan brush is exactly the thickness I prefer in a fan brush. I can apply highlighter precisely with a sharp line. However, I would have liked the bristles on the brush to be longer and a bit stiffer, which I prefer when using this type of brush. The Buffer Brush is great for blending contours and I also like using it to blend concealer and set color. under the eyes. Using circular and dabbing motions, it blends the concealer and powder well so my makeup doesn't look sticky. I don't use a blender brush, which is a flat kabuki brush, to apply foundation. I think the brush is too short and thick to get the job I like. I use it as a clean brush after applying foundation and/or powder. I like to run a clean, product-free brush over skin to make sure the foundation really blends into skin and doesn't leave streaks, and then buff with whatever face powder I use all over my face. It's fantastic for this use, especially as an extra step when mixing the base. I notice a difference with every application.
