Just received the chest and was so disappointed when I took it out of the box. There is a large crack at the top and when I opened the lid there was more damage. I don't understand why it was packaged like that. It's being brought back and it's such a shame. This was my second breast purchase. It looks great and blends easily with my jewelry and color scheme. If it weren't for the damage, this would be the perfect combination. However, the thickness of the wood material on the top is less than 1/4 inch; The fastener under the cover is damaged. If it weren't for that, he could have survived whatever was thrown at him. Value for money - 1 star. I didn't have a problem with the cost of an undamaged chest, so I bought a second chest. I have problems when I make a purchase and the item is damaged. Then the value for money drops. However, as previously mentioned, the wood is thin; I love the rustic look of metal attached to wood. Based on the damage I can't say it's durable.
