The hearing loss I experience causes trouble in groups and settings with more than just one distinct noise or voice, so I needed an amplifier that would amplify the individual voices or sounds going on around me. This amplifier only made the loud noises louder, which may work for other types of hearing loss but did not help me at all. There is also SO MUCH BACKGROUND NOISE. Like wow. Honestly it hurt my ears just because of the constant roaring. I thought the "noise” setting that should have been noise canceling would be the answer I was looking for but there is seriously no difference between the 3 "modes” that you can select. Adjusting the volume while on any of the three settings only amplifies all the general sounds (making loud things just more loud). Can’t recommend for people that experience problems similar to mine.
