Not a bad timer, but a bit overpriced - $17. €10 would be ideal. The knobs look cheap but work satisfactorily. The maximum countdown time is 19 hours 59 minutes, which should be more than enough for most applications. The clock shows 12 o'clock with no difference between AM and PM - again it doesn't matter. The alarm clock is pretty quiet, but the application I use it for is in a quiet environment. If you want a LOUD alarm, don't do it. The ONLY BIGGEST annoyance is the STOP button (which is why I only gave 4 stars (and silent alarm)). If you press STOP, the timer will reset to 00:00. To start/stop and restart the timer functions, simply press the START button. Pressing STOP clears it. Important, but takes getting used to. A FEATURE that I absolutely need is the warning beep after 10 minutes and after 5 minutes to zero. This is the ONLY timer I've found that does this. Radio Shack no longer has it. All in all a good, simple timer. I am ordering a second one to have on hand in case/when this one stops working.
