It's okay if you're careful not to spill water, but dirty kids (and I) can ruin everything!

So I bought two over a year ago, both white and at first I liked them. I didn't collect them, my ex-husband did, and he didn't complain. I still like them, but they have some issues, partly due to flimsy construction, but also due to the owner's (me) sloppiness. In fact, every time I look at one I think I have to leave a review to let others know, so here it is. The bottom is thin at best and won't let you put heavy objects on it as it properly pops out. came out and hit the ground. This can be solved by not putting too much in the bottom cabinet, or a heavier piece of wood for the floor or whatever you like, or even putting a book or two underneath I think. I just removed items that were too heavy and be careful what I put in at that point. In one I keep a large bottle of almond oil, a castor oil, a hydrogen peroxide, six rolls of toilet paper in a double roll, several bills, a DNA kit that I will use one day, and a few other small items in the bottom. I know this is verbose and sounds a bit weird - toilet paper? But he keeps everything. The surface gets pimples when water spills and surprisingly stays there (thanks to my messiness). If I had been warned I might have kept the water carafe elsewhere but I like it on the bedside table along with the flowers in a small water vase. I have found that sitting on a tray is beneficial. If you have kids who like to leave art gifts on the bedside table and water gets spilled on them, the colors will carry upwards and be difficult to remove unless you catch them right away. The top drawer can fall down. Right, if you're pulling too hard not to remind yourself that's the problem. This has never happened to me with other bedside tables, but now I realize it. It holds up a decent chunk, and it's not easy for kids under three to pull it out, so that's a bonus. I won't go into the details of what's in mine, but suffice it to say that vitamins, makeup, hair products, a mirror, scissors, pens, paper, just things I like to have on hand. small bedside tables when I was remodeling my bedroom. They look good, wait until you know their limits, and don't get dirty. Kids and I spill quite a bit of dirty water, or at least at first. I've rubbed the tops with all sorts of things, but I've seen browning underneath if I'm not careful. I only have a tiny brown dot that I uncovered which I am now covering with a tray. The tray is unobtrusive as it is very low and white. It's also wide enough to fit halfway down the top of a bedside table to hide other unsightly stains, while still leaving room for a regular-sized lamp and my colors. Would highly recommend the water bowl. I cover another faded spot with my little vase of flowers and fortunately only one of them has been abused the most and the books cover the faded spot on the other. It works out. I'm used to well made pre assembled real North Carolina wood furniture that will last for years but the pieces I have are quite large so they do the job and look good and I don't think they don't look cheap at all, would i buy them again? Yes, I would indeed, because now I know that water and paper with ink, markers, etc. are no friends of these bedside tables and I could work with them. And of course, for the price, you can't expect them to last as long as good old North Carolina furniture. And when I think about it - oh - I would take coasters! But after a year and two months they became strong enough, still pretty enough and easy to store, which was cheap. And now you know! Enjoy shopping!
