I bought this product thinking the CD would hold up well, but unfortunately it mostly depends on the effort of staying in the CD slot, not catching. You have to twist it hard to make it stay. The ball joint is attached to the CD spacer at 2 points with melted plastic rather than a solid piece of plastic. After minor use, the ball joint stand detached from the CD spacer making the product unusable unless I glue it back together. Looking at the design, it seems that this particular design is usually renamed. I bought this to replace my original Mountek magnetic CD holder which has poor grip compared to the original Mountek CD holder and sometimes falls off after use. Since then I've been back and have had fewer problems and am just more careful.
