Review on 🐶 Enhanced Wire Containment Cage Pen for Dogs - IRIS Deluxe by James Thelin

I bought this because of the top. I used to buy a smaller iris pen topless and my Yorkie pup managed to climb up and down the sides. Then I bought a big one with a mesh top, and she figured out how to take the top off from one side, climb up at an angle like that and get off. I was afraid she would hurt herself jumping down. I tried attaching zip ties to the top because the velcro didn't help my determined escape artist. It worked for a while until she decided to just punch a hole in him, jump in, and break free! Unfortunately, Iris doesn't offer an interchangeable top so I decided to buy one with a metal top but hoping to find an equally removable bottom as I really liked the feature. Luckily Iris has such a thing! Unfortunately the door doesn't slide to the side, but on the plus side the top latches so it can be removed and you can just open one half to access it if you need to. Note that my Yorkie is now 10 months old and barely weighs 4 pounds so she did all this when she was a lot smaller! I only work in the office 2 days a week, so she's not there every day. I lined it up so her washable pee pads were there and her potty. She eats there too. I just leave the door open when I'm home and she knows where to go. It seems to be working fine and has been working for a few months now. The clips for the bottom feel solid, but when you pick up the grip it's heavy. But worth it so I can put the edges of the pot cushions in the grove for the handles to hold the edges in place.
