Monitor headphones, that is, they are designed to transmit sounds as accurately as possible without distortion. This is clearly seen, after my favorite AKG, which for the beauty of the sound give more extended bass, the sound seemed different. The fact is that with equalizers on the ATH-M30x you can get the sound like on the AKG, but vice versa - no. I highly recommend, it's a pity that there was no money for an older model)
